Pearl is shareware, it is not free. It is provided at no charge to the user for evaluation. You may freely copy and distribute Pearl for non-commercial use, except for the following:
* You may not modify the program or it's documentation in any way
* You may not charge a fee for it's use or distribution, beyond a nominal fee for disk duplication and distribution.

Be sure to include your name and address and, if possible, your email address when you register (the simple thing to do is send a check imprinted with your name and address and write your email address somewhere on the check).

Once licensed, you may make as many copies of Pearl as you like for your own use, even on multiple computers. PowerBook owners would, for example, be entitled to have copies on their PowerBook and on their desktop computers. People with computers at home and at work may use Pearl in both places after paying a single license fee, and so on.
Those who register will not only be able to bask in the warm glow of self-righteous honesty, but they'll also have the satisfaction of knowing that Pearl will continue to be supported with new features, bug fixes and mind-boggling coolness due in part to their efforts.
